I’m a former news reporter now working in the entertainment industry. I’ve also freelanced as a book editor.
I often get to go to screenings or watch screeners of movies before they’re released. I’m also lucky enough to receive books or galleys before they’re published and try to read 2-3 a week. And I watch way too much TV.
I started this blog to give you a heads-up about upcoming movies, books and TV shows that are noteworthy. I’ll sometimes spotlight actors/writers/artists who may not be household names but I feel deserve more attention. I’ll also occasionally share stories of my experiences in this town to give you a glimpse of Hollywood from the inside out.
Hope you enjoy the content, leave me comments and come back often!

I picked up Beat the Reaper when we were at the library with the kids. I remember you recommended it… Reading it in my spare time, hilarious!!
Hi Q.Anh!
Yes, it’s hilarious! And craaaazy. I’m so glad you checked it out. Did you know Leonardo DiCaprio is going to make a movie of it?
Elyse –
I love Robert Crais’ novels and enjoyed the videos you made for his website but I keep missing you at his book signings. I am a professional film editor (member of the Board of Directors of IATSE Local #700 – Motion Picture Editors Guild) and would like to talk with you about making videos for other authors.
If you are interested, please contact me at the above e-mail address. We seem to like quite a few of the same authors.
I saw your competition for the script of The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnasus. Im trying to find out what Doctor Parnasus’s called Valentina’s character in the movie it was really cute nickname it was something like scrumptious?I’m not having any luck finding it out Bit of a long shot but I thought I’d ask since you have a script
Yours greatfuly
Thanks
It’s fascinating to see that I was indeed right that you’re inside the circle (relatively speaking) of the entertainment industry to have ‘gotten’ the Robert DeNiro film “What Just Happened”. Kudos on shedding some light for those of us out of it
